Invisible Things is the veteran guitarist Mark Shippy (of the venerable U.S. Maple + Shorty) and drummer/ethnomusicologist Jim Sykes (Parts & Labor, Grooms, 77 Boadrum), They first met while touring as guitarist Marnie Stern’s (Kill Rock Stars) backing band in support of her album This is It.

Home IS the Sun was recorded in two takes. The album is one composition split into a number of separate tracks, equal parts noise, improv, shoegaze, no wave.
